Yesterday Mark asked me about how I meditate. Mostly I do it in yoga class at Divine. I keep starting and stopping the 40 day meditation.

I have decided I want to set up a space in the room downstairs on other side of the laundry room. It's a beautiful room full of stuff. Emptied out I have a space where I can chant listen to sacred music and not disturb Mark if he is trying to catch some zzzzz's.
Am thinking of putting a small refrigerator and water cooler combo down there with the juicer. I want it to be cozy. The main challenge : the room has been taken over by the endless items from mom's house plus papers from Mark's NYC Board of Ed days and a bunch of random items that need to be dealt with. I lose energy just thinking about thus task sometimes. My goal is to get everything out and done by April 15th. What this means is a total house rearrange. Still many items out of place from the big painting marathon of summer 2010. Was waiting to get moms house closed and done . Do this exercise one time through.

Wouldn't it be great to have a dedicated meditation space and maybe we can do it together sometimes?

So begins the house project.

Uh-oh...starting over with 40 Day Meditation

Oh no. Missed a day of my 40 day meditation challenge which means I have to start all over from day 1.
This is my "how could I mess up something so simple face.?"

What happened?
One thing that is something that I noticed for me is this, even for something as simple as a daily meditation practice it is easy to get lazy or save it for later.
To do list.
Pick time.
Pick space.
Put into iPhone with alarm.
Sit quietly.
Repeat.
Went to class at Divine Yoga and began anew.
Day one again

Want to get a millionaire mind?

Love this. Have experienced this work myself.
The training I have taken with T. Harv Eker has helped me to change what doesn't work and bring into my life what does.

This is a very nice opportunity to ASK Harv a question.
Here's what's happening tonight at 9:00 pm Eastern.

Best-selling author T. Harv Eker will share with you the #1 mistake almost everyone makes when it comes to creating multiple streams of income and why 95% of people fail at it...and exactly how to do it right so your streams of income actually last.

Release the past. Day 4 of Meditation Challenge

Monday. Beautiful day here in NY.
Wanted to make sure I got this in today. Sat down and did my meditation.

Sticking close to the same time is helpful tip given to me by my yoga teacher, Arlene Lucas, at Divine Yoga in Rockville Centre
Writing it down putting it into existence and into my iPhone.
Commitment will give me character. Let's hope so!

On the path to 40 days.
Meditation: Day 4.

Today " I release the past, let go and dive into the future with joy."

Sunday.
Went to a Kundalini yoga workshop at Golden Bridge East in New York City.
Just above Chinatown.
Chinatown was busy, busy. It's Chinese New Year. The year of the RABBIT!
Anyone out there a RABBIT? If you are it's your year.
I was born in a RABBIT year.

Here's the Rabbit Years: 1951, 1963, 1975,1987,1999
My bamboo scroll calendar from Fortune Wheel Chinese Restaurant says this about the Rabbit.
"Luckiest of signs, talented and affectionate, yet shy. You seek peace.
Marry a pig or a sheep. Not a rooster.

Make the most of the year of the Rabbit.

See what Lillian Wong has to say about being a rabbit.

40 Day Meditation Challenge

On Friday I began a 40 Day Meditation Challenge.
Why a "challenge" ? You may ask?

The challenge part is being consistent. Organizing my day in such a way that I take few minutes to sit quietly and just do it.
One thing that helps is to do it at about the same time every day. After 21 days a habit is formed and then it becomes automatic.
Except for when it doesn't.

For some reason every time I take on a Kundalini Meditation series I fall apart and miss it at day 36 or 30.
What that means is I have to start all over again!

So this is day 3.
Today's meditation: "I am beautiful, bountiful, I am blissful. I live in peace no matter what comes my way."

Peace to you.
Nancy
